Eccentric Happenings

"I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly. I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky?break away," finished the song, greeted with loud plaudits even if some of the listeners were a little intoxicated. "Thank you," she said through the microphone, then went to her friend - who complimented the performance, and hugged her.
     "I met her in a club down in old So?ho?" began to sing but stopped to take another swig of beer.
     "You Know, I bet you have a great voice when you're not drunk," smiled then turned to the bartender, "1 lemonade and 1 Malibu coke please."
     "You were great?up there," drunkenly pointed to the stage with his beer.
     "Thanks," replied. "Your girlfriend dumped you then?"
     "Yeah?how did you know?" asked.
     "I've seen enough guys in here. You sort of get the gist," stated taking the drinks.
     "?" didn't answer.
     "You take care then," headed towards her friend. "Sober up though, huh? I'm sure you'll find someone."
     "Cheers," said starring at the bottle he was rotating.
     Then his friend walked in, " mate what are you doing here? You mum?s worried, she thought you over at my place."

"Okay everyone thanks for listening, this a song dedicated to anyone here who's experienced heartbreak," took a seat on the stool. "This was one I wrote," she tried to lighten up the sad mood that was to be. "Please don't laugh." Everyone let out a chuckle and awed. She started playing the melody on the baby grand, "You tell me it's all over, it was not meant to be. All you could see was a fire, burning out slowly." In came the crescendo for the chorus, "Now I look into the future. I see no you and me. You've moved on, and so have I. I will meet that special somebody." She was cheered. "Once again thank you. Now I'm going to going to make everyone happy and stop singing." They all      "Wow, who is she?" asked.
     "That's , I've been told she's a favourite here," stuttered.

     "The audience seemed to like it," stated.
      didn't answer, then she looked at her watch, "Ah I'll have to catch you another time. I'm meant to be babysitting."
     "I'll call you later," walked to her house.
     "See ya," waved. She soon knocked on the door.
     "Hello ," the man said at the door.
     "Hi Mr ," smiled.
     "How did it go?" he asked referring to her performance.
     "It was okay, thanks," replied.
     "We'll go to see?" My was about to say until.
     "eeee," a girl ran into 's opened arms.
     "Hey . How've you been?" asked.
     "Daddy got me Cinderella today," her face gleamed in delight.
     "Really?" The infant nodded ecstatic. "Well we'll have to watch it then won't we?" smiled and soon stood back up holding on her side.
     Mr smiled, "Me and will be back at 10. Will you be okay for then?"
     "That'll be fine," answered as the adults were about to leave. "Have a nice time, take care," she said. "So what do you want to do today?" asked placing her on the sofa.
     "Well Uncle is coming today. He said he's got a late birthday present for me," 's face glowed.
     "That's nice, I'll put Cinderella on now. Then I'll make tea," replied.
     "Yay," the infant said with glee.

During Cinderella someone knocked on the door. covered with the blanket as she fell asleep. "Hi," greeted checking to see if was asleep.
     "Hey. Is here?" the guy asked.
     "So you're the U?" was interrupted by a high pitched call.
     "Uncle !!" ran towards .
     "Hey ! Am I the best Uncle?" asked as the little girl hugged him tight.
     She nodded, "Do you have my present?" She asked with a beaming face. rolled his eyes and passed her the wrapped gift. ran into the lounge to tear it opened.
      and laughed. "Hey you're aren't you? From the bar," asked.
     "Yep I'm , but from the bar? I'm not so sure," laughed letting through.
     "Your voice is amazing," complimented.
     "Thanks," smiled. "It's not that great though."
     "I was with that guy who was drinking himself into insanity," laughed.
     "Ah I remember," replied.
     ", Uncle brought me a tea set," grabbed the other two by the hand. "Let's play tea party."

In the morning sobered up. He went downstairs and opened the front door, "Mom, I'm going out. I'll be back about 6." shouted. He was walking down to the bar again, sat on the stool and ordered a coke. He saw but was puzzled by 's presence.
     "Yo, !" He called over.
     "Alright mate? What are you doing here?" asked.
     "I could ask you the same," replied.
     "Well it just so turns out is the babysitter of my niece. I'm just coming to see her today. I've brought along," answered. "So what about you then?"
     "I'm just to see the performance," answered.
     "The performance? Or the performer?" questioned.
     "The performance," answered.
     "What ever you say mate," patted him on the back and returned to his niece.

"So I see you've sobered up?" said form behind.
      jumped a little form his seat but managed to keep his composure, "Yeah, heh."
     "Sorry about that. Hey, your told me you sing and play the guitar," stated.

     "Why don't you come up with me?" suggested taking by the hand.
     "Oh no. I don't think so," resisted but not taking his wrist away from 's grip.
     "Come on. Please. I'd really like to have a companion on stage," requested.
     "No really, you're great up there," tried to avoid the stage.
     "Aw please. You'll have the females falling at your feet," tried to tempt .

     "Don't make me cry. I'll guilt you into it," suggested as she was trying to act a crying scene. "Okay so I'm not a good fake crier." laughed.

     "Is that true?" asked.
     "Well?um?" stuttered, he had been to the bar many times before just to see her perform.

     "Huh? As in the whole?thing," asked.
      nodded, "I have noticed you come in the bar before but didn't really have the nerve to speak."

     "Well this is a strange way for this sort of thing to happen," stated.
     "I don't want you to think I'm using you or anything," explained.
     "Hey don't worry I'm not rushing," smiled. "So I guess we're?"
     "I guess we are," smiled as he saw behind raise a thumb to him.
     "Now, please, please, please come on stage with me," pleaded fluttering her eyes in a joking manner.
     "How could I say no to a face like that?" asked. "No."
     "How dare you insult my face," was stunned by the comment.
     "Aw I didn't mean it," replied trying to save himself from the dog house after a few minutes of official being taken.
     "Don't even try to work your way out of that one," poked her tongue out.
     "Looks like your performing now, go on. The crowd aren't waiting forever," laughed.
      looked at and gave eyes with meant revenge, "Even everyone. I'm going to sing a song dedicated to a sweet guy. After that song the sweet guy will come and sing a duet with me." gave a cheeky victory smile.      Whilst looked at surprised he laughed it off and the small audience cheered.
