Not Enough

Chapter 1

"Sorry," the shameful male voice whispered, covering his face in his hands.
"Sorry? Sorry? Do you think saying that will help save the hell that is our marriage?" Leah asked storming into the kitchen towards the sink, looking through the window and drinking a glass of water.
"This isn't only my fault?" Josh screamed.
"I'm sorry," Leah asked intrigued with what excuse he had this time.
"You're hardly home either," Josh shouted.
"That's because I'm working to try and keep OUR family alive, whilst you're out drinking yourself to suicide," Leah screamed back throwing the glass into the sink.
"Do you know how stupid this is?" Josh asked.
"Stupid? This is serious. I thought you knew very well what could happen if you didn't use" Leah slammed her hands on the table wondering about why she was stupid enough to get married at such a young age.
"Hey, I knew what I was getting myself into" Josh stood back up and pointed at Leah.
"Obviously not considering you don't give a damn about your child-to-be. I'm so stupid, thinking that this was all going to go jolly well. Of course, young marriages and pregnancies don't work," Leah turned around leaning on the counter top.
"You're making a big deal out of nothing," Josh stated in a calm manner.
"Am I? It's barely been 3 weeks and we're constantly arguing. Do you really think that is nothing because I sure as hell don't," she walked up to the dinning table and sat down to try and calm herself.
"Yeah but all couples argue," Josh stated taking the chair opposite her.
"You don't get it, do you?" Leah asked staring at Josh. "We obviously weren't ready to get married let alone have a child," the tone of her voice became calmer. "Do you know what I think? I think we should take a breather from all of this."
"I guess you're right. I'll go back to my parents, what are you going to do?" Josh asked.
Leah thought about it, she did have a family but they were back at their native country, "I don't know."
